Tupelo Quarterly
ABOUT
Tupelo Quarterly is the online literary magazine of Tupelo Press, the independent poetry publisher based in North Adams, Massachusetts. Launched in 2013, TQ has grown into a substantial, ongoing periodical rather than a fixed archive: it has released more than three dozen numbered issues (currently at TQ37) on a rolling basis, each with its own table of contents of poetry, prose, cross-genre work, translation, interviews, and visual art, supplemented by standalone features, mini-symposia, and reviews posted between issues. The magazine has become a visible extension of Tupelo Press's identity as a press invested in formally adventurous and international poetry, using the journal to spotlight translation projects (such as a recent folio of Selma Meerbaum-Eisinger translated by Carlie Hoffman) and to run literary criticism and reviews coverage alongside its creative content. TQ also hosts a companion workshop series (e.g., seasonal craft workshops led by contributors and staff), positioning the magazine as a hub of ongoing literary programming rather than a pure quarterly.
