The Georgia Review

Published at the University of Georgia since 1947, The Georgia Review built its modern reputation under Stanley Lindberg (editor 1977–2004), who made it a general-interest literary quarterly with essays sturdy enough for civilians and poetry chosen with a curator's patience. Recent editorship under Gerald Maa has pushed it toward translation and a broader aesthetic range.

It pays $4 per line for poetry (at last posting), reads August through May with a small online fee (free by post), and its production values — full-color art features on heavy stock — remain among the best in the university-quarterly world.
